Work Connect Project’s (WCP) core technology has been licensed from WorkRecords, a large-scale provider of labor management technology serving the hotel, restaurant, healthcare, warehouse distribution, and other service-worker-heavy industries.
WorkRecords' 10+ years of experience and software infrastructure has been used by hundreds of thousands of workers—this time-tested granularity is the vital reason why WCP can easily identify and facilitate the distribution of funds.
The WCP database was moved to Microsoft’s Azure cloud environment in order to be scalable for the millions of workers who have recently been laid off.
Participating organizations may request WCP staff to access the worker database to select groups of workers for funds and support distribution. Just select the Targeted Donation option during the checkout process.
Any selected particular worker group may be subdivided by any combination of industry, former employer, job title, state, city, and zip code. Once a group of workers has been selected, a desired amount of funds can be determined and transferred to PayPal
for distribution into individual worker accounts along with a corresponding message sent via email to each worker.
